Kamala Harris has managed to win the support of megastar Taylor Swift. The talented singer recently announced the endorsement of Harris in the 2024 presidential race.
Swift made the announcement shortly after the Kamala Harris vs.Trump debate. During the debate, Harris carried herself well and left such an impression on Swift that she became convinced the Vice President was the best choice for America.
Taylor Swift Endorses Kamala Harris
Taylor Swift’s endorsement of Kamala Harris came with some words from the superstar. It began with revealing how she was pushed to do her research after the presidential debate between Harris and Trump.
Swift revealed that as a voter, she ensures she watches and reads all she can about “proposed policies and plans for this country.” She also talked about fake AI images that made it seem like her loyalty was with Trump, pictures the former president himself posted on Truth Social.

“It really conjured up my fears around AI and the dangers of spreading misinformation,” Swift wrote. It was the final push she needed to get more vocal about where she stands as the election draws closer. According to Swift, “the simplest way to combat misinformation is with the truth,” and the truth is that Taylor Swift endorses Kamala Harris, not Donald Trump.
Kamala Harris’ Viral Moment at the Presidential Debate
The first presidential debate since Kamala Harris replaced Joe Biden in the presidential race was held on Tuesday, September 10, 2024.
Harris did reasonably well in the standoff and created some moments that have since gone viral. One good example is how she extended her hand first to former president Donald Trump on Tuesday.
The debate marks the first time the two candidates have ever met. During the debate at the National Constitution Center in Philadelphia, Harris and Trump discussed various topics ranging from immigration to the economy to abortion.
The pair entered the stage simultaneously, with Kamala Harris crossing over to extend a handshake with Trump. Never mind how she knows that Trump is the political enemy and his lackeys will do anything to make her look bad.
It was mature behaviour, and undoubtedly one of Harris’ actions that night, that left an impression on Taylor Swift.
Kerry Washington and Tony Goldwyn Also Endorse Kamala Harris
Taylor Swift’s Kamala Harris endorsement also comes days after the DNC. Two other celebrities endorsed Kamala Harris at the convention and urged everyone else to do so. The celebrities Tony Goldwyn and Kerry Washington were tapped to host the DNC. Washington hosted on the event’s final night, and she was clear about who she supported.
Goldwyn joined her on stage for some shenanigans, and they both expressed support for Harris. Washington even invited Harris’ Grandnieces to the stage to give a lesson on how to pronounce the vice president’s name correctly.
Is Kamala Harris a Mother?
Kamala Harris currently has no biological children, but she is a mother. The vice president is married to Doug Emhoff, who has children from his previous marriage. They have fallen in love with Harris and accepted her as a mother figure. She proudly wears the tag of “stepmother.”

The fact that she is childless has been used to attack her a couple of times in the past. Most recently, J.D Vance called her a “childless Catwoman”, a derogatory phrase for women her age without kids of their own.
The act backfired, and many women rose in defence of Harris, including Taylor Swift, who referenced the phrase in the closing of the official statement announcing her endorsement of Kamala Harris. Signed a “Childless Cat Lady,” Taylor Swift wrote and added a picture of her holding a cat.
