John Amos’ Daughter Left With Many Questions
In an Instagram post from Tuesday night, Shannon Amos revealed that she is “devastated” to learn of her father’s demise. She also said she is left “with many questions” about how it happened “45 days ago.”

The tragedy comes amidst dissension in the Amos family, which has been going on for at least a year. Shannon had accused her brother of not providing adequate health care for their father.
In a June 2023 Instagram post, Shannon claimed that John Amos was “a victim of elder abuse and financial exploitation.” However, both Kelly Amos and John Amos disputed the claims. There was also an investigation into the matter by the Los Angeles Police Department, but they closed the case due to a lack of evidence.
We may never know the truth behind what was really going on in the Amos family leading up to John Amos’ death, but one thing his daughter is happy about is that he is “finally free.”
