Taylor Swift’s donations to food banks while she toured the U.K. this year have been getting some attention because of all the good they’ve done.
The singer, 34, is expected to perform in mid-October at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami on Friday, October 18. However, as fans anticipate an electrifying performance, her good deeds seem to be making the rounds on social media. Rachel Biggs, the CEO of Cardiff Foodbank, thanked the singer and revealed how much they were able to do with the donations.
Taylor Swift’s Donation to the Cardiff Foodbank
The talented singer made multiple food bank donations during her U.K. shows earlier this year, but she did it all without making too much noise about it. So much so that her philanthropic efforts went under the radar of many until recently when Biggs, the CEO of Cardiff Foodbank, revealed how much her donations have helped.

Taylor Swift’s donation to the food bank provided 925 people with emergency food parcels. The charity confirmed it was able to buy “one and a half articulated lorries full of food” with Swift’s gift.
Cardiff Foodbank wrote in an article on Facebook on September 3, “We are incredibly grateful to Taylor Swift not only for her generous donation but for shining a light on the global issue of poverty.” The post concluded by urging more people to donate food or money to “make sure that no one in Cardiff goes hungry.”

Taylor Swift’s donation was not limited to the Cardiff Foodbank. During her U.K. Eras Tour stops, the singer also reportedly made generous donations to food banks in Edinburgh and Liverpool.

Never mind that Cardiff, the capital of Wales, was the only city with just one Eras Tour concert during Swift’s 152-date European leg. Biggs did not specify the amount of money given, but she said it was a huge help.
“The breathing space Taylor’s donation has given us will enable us to lift our heads and shift our focus from the food bank to the creation of a sustainable operation supporting people who currently need our help with support to address the root cause of poverty and financial support to set them on the path to not needing our aid anymore,” Biggs said at the time.
