The Prince also called the year “the hardest year” while sharing how challenging it has been to get through everything while staying on track.
“But I’m so proud of my wife; I’m proud of my father for handling the things that they have done. But from a personal family point of view, it’s been, yeah, it’s been brutal,” he shared. His father, King Charles III, was diagnosed with an undisclosed form of cancer in February, forcing him to halt public duties for two months as he focused on getting back on his feet.

Prince William’s wife, Kate, the Princess of Wales, revealed her cancer diagnosis a few weeks later. She is gradually returning to public duties after completing a bout of chemotherapy. In footage released in September, Kate stated that her illness has been “incredibly tough for us as a family.”
