Wayne Brady seems to be done having kids after welcoming two children. He has been joking about getting a vasectomy to make sure he doesn’t have to worry about making the mistake of having more kids.
Brady appeared on “The Talk” on Monday, September 23. And during his appearance, he revealed whether he would make the “running joke” about getting a vasectomy a reality.
Wayne Brady May Follow Through on Talks of Getting a Vasectomy
Brady, 52, was joined on the “The Talk” by his “Wayne Brady: The Family” Remix co-stars, including his daughter, Maile Brady, his former wife, Mandie Taketa, and her husband, Jason Fordham. Maile, 21, seemed to think the vasectomy was happening. But a confused Taketa, 48, wanted to know if it was a joke, to which Brady said, “You know what, I will get a vasectomy.”

He added, “Yeah. Look, I’ve already got two [kids]. I’m 52. I’m not Moses or somebody from the Bible that needs to go forth. Nope. I’m done. In fact, I should schedule an appointment right after the show.”
Maile is in support and could even be heard insisting that Brady get a vasectomy on the show. “Keep that seat right there. Take a self-care weekend. Get some ice. Start praying,” she told him.

Yes, Wayne Brady shares one child, Maile, with his former wife Taketa. Maile was born in February 2003, three years after her parents tied the knot and five years before they parted ways. Since their split, the pair have remained close and supportive of each other.
So when Taketa welcomed another child, a son, via adoption in September 2021, Brady was only too happy to become his godfather. Little did he know he also had a surprise on the way. Indeed, Brady discovered that his ex-girlfriend Tina—whom he had an off-and-on relationship with during the pandemic—was carrying his son in 2022.
“I was shocked,” Brady said of his reaction. “I asked the silly question that I think many men since the beginning of time have asked. ’How?’ You know how! So get past it.”

Wayne Brady has been married twice so far. His first ex-wife was Diana Lasso, whom he married from 1993 until 1995 when they divorced. Brady’s second ex-wife is Mandie Taketa, with whom he shared a child.
Although they may have split over a decade ago, they still care deeply about each other and are great co-parents. “My ex-wife Mandie and I, we have a different — and I think a very special — relationship than a lot of people who co-parent,” the “Let’s Make a Deal” host said in a 2020 interview.
He also noted that he and Taketa have “co-parented as best friends” throughout Maīle’s life.

Is Wayne Brady Married?
Wayne Brady is not currently married. As earlier stated, he has been to the altar twice with two different women, but since those marriages ended, he has not attempted marriage with another woman.
Last year, August, the reality TV star came out as pansexual, but what that means for his romantic life is anyone’s guess. All we know right now is that Wayne Brady is very much single and does not want to be blindsided with the news of having another child, hence his jokes about getting a vasectomy.
Brady discovered he was going to be a father again shortly after he attended his grandmother’s funeral, and to say he was shocked by the news is an understatement. Still, he chose to step up and take responsibility for his child. He is determined to make sure the boy knows he is welcome and wanted, even if his birth was a “mistake.”
