As the release of “white lotus” season three draws closer, HBO has continued to whet the appetites of its viewers with teasers and the latest one has shown Black Pink’s Lisa making her acting debut.
The preview of the upcoming series teased fans with both the new and familiar, offering glimpses of the cast, which includes Walton Goggins, Carrie Coon, Leslie Bibb, Michelle Monaghan, Parker Posey, Blackpink’s Lisa, and veteran Natasha Rothwell, who reprises her Emmy-nominated role as Belinda from the first season.
While the preview revealed Lisa in an acting role, specific details about her character have been withheld. However, it is believed that she will be credited under her given name, Lalisa Manobal.
How Black Pink’s Lisa Reacted to Getting Tapped for “White Lotus” Season Three
Lisa revealed that she teared up when she received news that she’d been tapped to be in the show’s next season. “‘Oh my God, Mike White? I think he’s a genius,’” Lisa said about the show’s creator in a conversation with ELLE US.

“I think I cried. I was with my friends, my mum’s friends, and my mum as well, but I didn’t tell them that I auditioned for it,” she added. “I’m super excited and nervous because it’s my first acting project. So I was happy for a second, and then I was like, “Oh, wait, wait, how am I going to deliver this?”‘
The filming took place in Bangkok and on the islands of Phuket and Koh Samui. It gave the Thai star a chance “to be back home, to have Thai food every day,” and to have her mother close-by.
The pilot season of “The White Lotus” debuted in July 2021, and the second season followed subsequently in October 2022. The show’s third season was initially supposed to be released in 2024. But the SAG-AFTRA strike has pushed the premiere to 2025.
Some Stars Shared Insight Into Filming in Asia
As fans of the show wait for the catchy opening credits, some stars have shared glimpses into what filming in Asia was like. Arnold Schwarzenegger’s son, Patrick Schwarzenegger, highlighted some of the memorable moments during the filming, including a selfie with the show’s creator Mike White and new costar Aimee Lou Wood.
“That’s a wrap on White Lotus season 3. What an experience!”Patrick wrote on Instagram in August. “What an honor it was to work & learn from some of the most talented actors in the world. You all made this project a lifetime of memories.”
In another snap, he was captured beaming while washing off an elephant. In others, he’s seen sunbathing while lounging in the pool and having fun on set. “Can’t wait for you guys to see this season,” he added. “It’s fu&!ng nuts!!!!!”
What To Expect From “White Lotus” Season Three
As for what to expect from “white lotus” season three, the show’s creator had this to say: “It’s going to be a supersized White Lotus. It’s going to be longer, bigger, crazier. I don’t know what people will think, but I am super excited, so at least for my own barometer, that’s a good thing.”
Each season features a new cast, but Mike White has been open to bringing back even more show alumni. “It would be easy to just be full-on anthology, but I think it’s more fun to have little threads through the show,” he explained. “If the show goes on for a couple of seasons, it would be fun to have an all-star season.”
He has previously revealed his plans for the upcoming episodes. “The first season kind of highlighted money, and then the second season is sex,” White said in a December 2022 clip attached to the end of the season two finale. “I think the third season would be maybe a satirical and funny look at death and Eastern religion and spirituality.”
