Zac Efron, 36, reportedly had a “minor swimming accident” during his vacation at a villa in Ibiza, Spain, which led to his hospitalization. The actor was in the country for the weekend when he went for a swim with friends at the property’s pool, which is where the accident happened.
Ironically, Efron, who played a lifeguard in “Baywatch,” reportedly had a bad dive that affected his faculties, temporarily leaving him dazed. This allowed water to flood into his lungs, and the actor had to be pulled out of the water.
His case highlights how easily things can spiral out of control, even in situations one is well-versed in. Who would have thought the actor who once played a lifeguard would eventually need one himself?

He was momentarily dazed and needed villa security to help pull him out of the water after showing signs of distress. The source also added that the actor was hospitalized out of an abundance of caution rather than for emergency reasons.
He has had X-rays done on his chest to ensure no water is lingering in his lungs and was medically cleared within hours. However, he decided to stay back at the hospital until the paparazzi who had followed him to the hospital left.

Zac Efron has been subject to rumors that he had jaw surgery that noticeably altered the structure of his face. In 2022, he was asked about it during an interview with Men’s Health, and he acknowledged that his appearance had changed in recent years.
The actor explained that his looks changed following a fall at his home in November 2013. The fall reportedly broke his jaw, making his face and jaw muscles work extra hard. A person’s masseter muscles, along with muscles on their face, should operate “like a symphony.” But his injury has made this impossible.
