The altercation did not last long, and Jason Kelce’s actions were a direct response to the fan’s offensive and racist comments about his brother’s relationship with Taylor Swift.
Jason Kelce and the talented singer have been getting closer since she started seeing his brother, Travis Kelce, so the retired NFL star would unsurprisingly swing for her. Jason and his wife, Kylie, took two of their three daughters to see Swift’s Eras Tour in Miami last month.

According to videos circulating on social media, the altercation only happened because Jason Kelce allowed himself to be goaded by a fan while walking outside Penn State’s Beaver Stadium, holding a case of beer while fans surrounded him.
In the background, a man can be heard shouting at Jason before using a homophobic slur to describe his brother, Travis Kelce, referencing Travis’ relationship with Taylor Swift.

They said, “Hey Kelce, how does it feel that your brother is a f—– dating Taylor Swift?” Eventually, the retired NFL player turned around, grabbed the man’s phone, and smashed it to the ground. Then he picked it up again and walked away.
Another angle shows the man chasing after Jason, demanding his phone back. In the video, the former NFL star then gives the man a taste of his own medicine by repeating the slur to them. It was not immediately clear if the man who got his phone smashed was the same man who shouted the slur.
It was also unclear whether the man was a Penn or Ohio State student or just visiting for the game.
