Prince Harry will have to find a replacement for his chief of staff, Josh Kettler, following his exit. Kettler’s exit has raised eyebrows because he had only just bagged the job three months before.
It leaves room for speculation as people try to figure out what exactly caused him to leave such a position. It is crucial to note that Kettler was hired on a trial basis and that the decision for him and Harry to part ways was mutual. But many still want to know why it happened.
Who Is Josh Kettler?
Josh Kettler is the latest employee on Prince Harry’s payroll to quit. Unfortunately, he did so at short notice, leaving the family in limbo ahead of an international trip.
Kettler is described on LinkedIn as an experienced worker at the elite “C-suite” level, with experience at medical tech startup Cognixion in a chief-of-staff position. He has also previously worked at eco-clothing brand Patagonia at a time when the company’s profits soared.

Although he was only the chief of staff for a short time, the three months he spent with them were said to have been instrumental in the Sussexes’ successful Nigerian tour.
Why Did Prince Harry’s Chief of Staff Quit?
Reports claim that Kettler’s departure from Prince Harry was a decision both sides made after agreeing it wasn’t the right fit.
Kettler started in his role one week before Prince Harry and Meghan Markle made an official visit to Nigeria in May. He also joined the Duke of Sussex on his trip to London to mark the 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games.
Kettler is not the first employee of Harry’s to quit. There have been more than five exits, and one source said none of those who left would return or miss the job, implying it may have something to do with the family.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Will Visit Colombia in the Future
News of Kettler’s exit comes less than two weeks after Francia Márquez, Colombia’s first black female vice president, announced that Prince Harry, 39, and Meghan, 43, will visit Colombia soon. Dates for the trip are yet to be released.
“As the Vice President of Colombia and Minister of Equality and Equity, I am pleased to announce that Prince Harry and Meghan, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, have kindly accepted my invitation to visit our beautiful country,” Márquez said.
Their visit will cover Colombia’s capital city, Bogotá, as well as Cartagena and Cali. Márquez explained that those locations will allow Harry and Meghan to properly engage with people who embody Colombian values and enjoy the country’s heritage.
The planned trip to South America will be the couple’s second official international trip since they settled in California in 2020.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s Recent Trip To Nigeria
In May, Harry and his wife had a high profile tour in Nigeria that meant a lot, especially to Meghan. The gorgeous woman had discovered earlier that she is 43% Nigerian and had been dying to connect with her heritage.
Meghan was thrilled to be in Nigeria, which she reportedly called “my country.” She found it memorable to learn more about her heritage so she could share it with her children.
During the trip, they also highlighted the Archewell Foundation’s mental health initiatives for young people and promoted the Invictus Games.
The tour had all the makings of a royal tour. But this time, Harry and Meghan weren’t there as “working royals.” They went there of their own volition to fulfill their own needs. They also had a lot of fun since they did not have to worry about stuffy royal etiquette.

Harry’s Chief of Staff had just taken up his role when he and Meghan visited Nigeria. Now that he has quit, they will need to find another suitable candidate to fill the role as they plan towards their Colombia tour.
