Two Georgia minors and one of their parents are facing charges for the part they played in the drowning death of eight-year-old Noah Bush. The minors, an unidentified 10-year-old and an unidentified 11-year-old, were arrested on July 10, 2024.
Reports claim that the 10-year-old was reportedly charged with “concealing the death of another.” Meanwhile, the 11-year-old was reportedly charged with “involuntary manslaughter.”
Also, Natalie Hardison, the 11-year-old’s mother, was reportedly charged with “giving false statements” during an investigation. The charge is a felony, and Hardison also faces “probation and truancy charge[s].” In addition, the 10-year-old has been sentenced to “two years at a youth detention center.”
Details About Noah Bush’s Drowning
The Bush family attorney, Francys Johnson, previously revealed more details about what allegedly happened to the 8-year-old. According to the lawyer, Bush had allegedly met the children hours before his disappearance in mid-May.

“At some point, they pressured Noah to go down to the borrow pit,” Johnson explained. “It’s a deep, canyon-like place. And in the low places, water fills up in it, like swimming pool sizes of water.”
According to ABC Chicago, Johnson also alleged that Bush was pushed into the pit by the children. The attorney reportedly said, “Noah and the two juveniles involved in this got into some argument, and an argument led to them pushing Noah into the water and possibly holding his head underwater.”
The outlet added that officers are now reportedly waiting for “videos to be enhanced in their investigation,” as the Bush family is reportedly calling for more arrests to be made.
What Noah Bush’s Autopsy Report Revealed
Noah Bush was reported missing on May 15. About 11 hours later, cops revealed that his body was found in a pit of water in a Jesup construction area.
According to previous reports, authorities found the lifeless body in the burrow pit on May 16. The discovery was a source of confusion for his family. They noted that the child was afraid of large bodies of water.
Initially, the Bush family was reportedly informed that the 8-year-old got into the water himself. No foul play was also suspected because Bush had no injuries consistent with a fight, according to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office.
Noah Bush’s autopsy ruled his death a drowning, confirming the boy had no injuries to the body. The police charged the two minors because of information they stumbled upon during their investigation.
“This finding was based on the fact that one of the two juveniles who were with Noah pushed him into the deep portion of the borrow pit they were wading in,” the police release states.
“Noah and the two juveniles involved in this got into some argument, and an argument led to them pushing Noah into the water and possibly holding his head underwater,” Attorney Francys Johnson explained.
The Family of Noah Bush Wants Justice For All
Noah Bush’s mother, Demetrice Bush, is grateful for all the progress made regarding the case. She said, “I’m grateful for the arrests that were made today, but we still have a long road ahead of us because until Noah receives his justice, there will be no peace.”
The details of the arrested minors will remain hidden, and they will be tried as juveniles, according to the sheriff’s office. “This prosecution should move quickly and hopefully bring closure for Noah’s family,” the sheriff said.
Now that Bush’s death has been ruled a homicide amid the subsequent arrests, the Bush family believes “others” could be “involved in concealing the actions of the 10 and 11-year-old, and they want them to face justice.
