John Schneider and Dee Dee Sorvino, tied the knot in a surprise Las Vegas wedding recently. It is a match made in heaven but neither saw it coming. In fact, Schneider had all but given up on love when it blossomed between him and Dee Dee Sorvino.
The couple shared, “Just when we thought our happiest days were forever behind us …. WE HAPPENED.” Their representative has also confirmed that they are both giddy like teenagers. Schneider and Sorvino will host an official wedding celebration next week to mark the anniversary of their first meeting.

The surprise wedding was held at Vegas Weddings in the back of a white convertible that once belonged to music star Usher. Sorvino and Schneider lost their spouses within the past two years. Schneider only opened up about his relationship while chatting on the “Grace Begins, The Podcast.”

He said, “God sent a widower to a widow and a widow to a widower who [gets] it, who understands. Because I tell you what, I was ready to give it up, all of it—everything. Then, just when I thought the very notion of dating or holding another hand was repulsive, I met this one, that crazy dame over there.”
Schneider’s late wife, Alicia Allain Schneider, passed on in 2023 at 53 after a four-year battle with breast cancer. Sorvino’s late husband, acclaimed actor Paul Sorvino, passed away at 83 in 2022 after suffering health issues.

According to Dee Dee Sorvino, Fox News played a pivotal part in her relationship with Paul Sorvino because they first met in the green room while waiting for separate appearances on the network. They also announced their surprise elopement while on Neil Cavuto’s show in 2015.
She said, “If not for Fox, we would not be married. And Neil Cavuto, we called him Dr. Love. We would always joke about this because Paul knew he wanted to marry me right away.” Dee Dee Sorvino remembered Paul would play a “big, tough monster” on screen. However, she said deep down, he was truly a “very sweet, very respectful” gentleman.
“Paul was just a universally loved actor, and of course, I adored him every minute,” she said. “I got so lucky that he pursued me like he did. And I’m like, wow, I really have had a wonderful life with this man. The only problem is, it was just too short.”

Alicia was a veteran producer and actress who was known for her roles in the 1991 films “Leather Jackets” and “Caged Fear” and 2002’s “Auto Focus,” which she also produced. She and Schneider met in 2014 when she approached the actor about collaborating on a project.
The two started dating in 2015 and went on to become indie-filmmaking partners and co-songwriters. Alicia, who founded the production company Maven Entertainment, became Schneider’s manager before they married in 2019.
Later that same year, Alicia was diagnosed with stage 4 HER2-negative cancer following the discovery of a lesion during a routine dermatologist visit. Schneider revealed that Alicia’s cancer had gone into remission in 2020.

The pair continued working together on film and music projects throughout her four-year cancer battle and released the patriotic film “To Die For” in October 2022.
After her demise, John Schneider did not see himself starting over with another woman, but that is exactly what he is doing. His relationship with Dee Dee Sorvino has blossomed into something great, and they plan to stay together for a long time.
