Jay Ellis and his wife, Nina Senicar, have welcomed a second child. The pair shared the exciting news on Instagram, posting images featuring the newborn. The heartwarming photos triggered an outpour of well wishes from their fans and friends.

Jay Ellis and Nina Senicar’s Announcement
The latest addition to Ellis and Senicar’s family arrived on July 11, 2024, but they did not announce his arrival until Saturday, July 13. Ellis took to his Instagram page with a picture of their family, including the newborn. In the caption of the post, he revealed the boy’s name and birth date.
He wrote, “Noa Gray Ellis 7.11.24.” His wife shared the same image but in her own caption, she wrote “Wow, we have a son!,” as if she found it hard to believe. Little Noa will join three-year-old Nora Grace, Jay Ellis and Nina Senicar’s daughter. The couple welcomed her in November 2019.

Congratulations To the New Parents
Following the couple’s announcement, their friends and fellow stars expressed their well wishes. Many of Ellis’ “Insecure” castmates, including Yvonne Orji, Natasha Rothwell, and one of the series’ writers, Dayna Lynne North, were among the commenters.
Rothwell dubbed herself “Aunt Tasha” and said she was reporting for duty. She also mentioned how the baby arrived on 7/11 and how much they loved that. Similarly, Abbott Elementary’s Quinta Brunson and the WNBA’s Sue Bird also sent their well wishes.
How Did Jay Ellis and Nina Senicar meet?
The two first met at a bar in Los Angeles. A mutual friend who ended up officiating their wedding introduced them. Jay Ellis and Nina Senicar went Instagram official on October 30, 2015, after Senicar reposted a snap of them from an amfAR fundraiser.
But they still managed to keep most details about their romance private in the early stages. In 2017, Ellis talked about being in a relationship during an appearance on The Breakfast Club. However, he did not reveal Senicar’s name.
He said, “I am in a relationship. I’m in a very happy relationship, and that’s where I leave it. I don’t really worry about anything else, and that’s it.”

Is Jay Ellis Still Married?
Yes, Jay Ellis is still happily married to Nina Senicar. “The Top Gun: Maverick” star and his actress/model partner tied the knot in July 2022 after five years together. Their wedding ceremony was held in Tuscany, Italy, after being postponed twice due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Senicar recalled the day and expressed gratitude that all their friends were able to gather to celebrate their love. She said, “We just really wanted everybody to have a good time and get to know each other. And most importantly, dance.”
Senicar added, “We come from two completely different sides of the world, different cultures, and backgrounds, and it was magical to see how all of that got mixed together in such a beautiful and spontaneous way with the people we love the most.”
Ellis likened the wedding ceremony to a crazy three-day party. He also called the celebration, which involved bringing over 190 people together in Tuscany, a surreal experience.
He said, “After everything that everyone has been through over the last few years to bring over 190 people together for three days in Tuscany and celebrate was surreal.”
“Seeing all of our friends from different parts of our lives together smiling and laughing, connecting, forming their own friendships was such a huge part of what we wanted out of the weekend and the celebration. We wanted to create moments and memories that would last the rest of our lives.”
