Eric Decker made a decision: making sure he wouldn’t be having any more kids after his fourth one by getting a vasectomy. Decker shared some pictures of himself in recovery, rocking a T-shirt that said, “Vasectomy survivor. I kid you not.”
The former NFL player, 37, and his country-pop songstress wife, 35, welcomed their fourth child, a son named Denver, in February 2024.
What Did Eric Decker Post?
Eric Decker announced that he survived vasectomy in his post. The former NFL star shared some photos of him recovering from the procedure while wearing a T-shirt that read, “Vasectomy survivor. I kid you not.”
In one of the pictures, Eric Decker is shown with a bag of frozen peas on his private parts while casually holding what looks like a stiff drink in his hand. “I survived,” the 37-year-old said in a caption on the post.
Eric’s wife, Jessie James Decker, couldn’t resist commenting on that snap. She shared an eye roll emoji and some laughing ones, too.

What Is a Vasectomy?
According to the National Institute of Health, A vasectomy is a surgical procedure that men have to prevent them from having babies. It’s like a permanent form of birth control for men.
The surgery involves cutting the tubes (the vas deferens) that carry sperm from the testicles, the NIH said, adding that only about 15 of every 10,000 couples get pregnant in the year after the man has a vasectomy.
Jessie James Decker and Eric Decker Announced Their Last Child in November
In February, Jessie James Decker and Eric Decker shared the exciting news about the arrival of their fourth child.
Alongside photos of their new addition, the singer wrote in the caption, “Our beautiful boy is here, Denver Calloway Decker 8.7 2/9/24.” In addition to Denver, the couple is also the parents of three other kids: Vivianne Rose, 9, Eric Jr., 8, and Forrest Bradley, 5. The two have been married since 2013.
Jessie James Fully Supports Her Husband
Jessie James mentioned that she wanted Eric to have the tube-tying procedure after their third child was born. It’s something he had thought about before but ended up deciding against.
“I will say he’d had multiple appointments booked to get a vasectomy to finish it off, and he’d cancel it. We just kept not doing it, but I’m very, very intuitive,” Jessie told ET. “I have these dreams, and I’ve just always kind of been like that. I’ve throughout these years when we’re with the kids, and we’re all like holding hands, we’re walking somewhere, I’d always be like, we’re missing one,” she added.
It seems like the Decker family is complete now, and both Mom and Dad are happy with that.
