They say people never know the value of what they have until they lose it, and Dave Grohl has found himself in that very predicament as he is on the cusp of losing his wife of over two decades, Jordyn Blum. And for what? Infidelity.
Grohl, who shares three daughters with Blum, is now reportedly doing all he can to fix his marriage with his wife after confessing to welcoming a child with another woman. The famous rockstar was pictured without his wedding ring one month after he announced the child’s arrival on social media. So was his wife, Blum.

Dave Grohl and his wife are going through a rough patch caused by his inability to stay faithful. A source close to him said Grohl knows he messed up. “It’s one of those situations where you don’t realize what you have until you’re about to lose it. He doesn’t want to lose his family,” the source said.
In his initial statement on September 10, Grohl promised to be a “loving and supportive parent” to his new daughter while working hard to make things right with his wife and older daughters.
“I love my wife and children, and I am doing everything I can to regain their trust and earn their forgiveness,” he wrote. At this time, neither Grohl nor Blum have publicly addressed their marital status.
Dave Grohl’s Wife May Have Known About His Love Child Before the Public
Infidelity has been a recurring issue in Dave Grohl’s marriage to Blum. It had gotten so bad that PEOPLE Magazine reported that Blum, a co-founder of an interior design firm, had already known about the secret child “for a while.” Meanwhile, another source claimed that while she may have been aware of his cheating, she did not know the extent of it.
Nevertheless, sources say the rockstar’s “flirty behavior” had been a “hurdle in their marriage” and has been “hurtful to Jordyn.” The 48-year-old was also photographed at a private tennis lesson in Studio City, California, without her wedding ring weeks before the scandal broke, meaning she may have seen it coming.
PEOPLE also reported that Blum had lost all trust in her husband in early October. According to the Daily Mail, she had been leaning on her friends, especially actor Kate Hudson, following the scandal.

Grohl revealed the arrival of his fourth child in September 2024, and before his revelation, he reportedly retained a divorce attorney. This shows he was ready to let a divorce happen, but that has changed, and the rock star is now trying to save his marriage.

It is still unclear if the divorce will happen as both parties have been quiet about the process. While we do know that Grohl does not want it to happen, Blum may have just had enough.
