Bindi Irwin and Chandler Powell are okay with the number of children they have. The couple said this in response to a familiar question about their family size. However, they aren’t ruling out the possibility of expanding the team.
The nature conservationist couple was having a question-and-answer session with a journalist when the notorious question came up. However, the question didn’t catch them any bit off guard. “Basically, we get asked this question a lot,” said Powell, 27.
“And Bindi, a lot of you may already know, she went through a big journey with endometriosis. And basically, it was an absolute miracle that we had Grace,” he continued. So far, the pair have a daughter between them, 3-year-old Grace Warrior Irwin Powell.
Powell described how much they love their bundle of joy and how much she means to them. “We love Grace so much and are reveling in every little moment we have with her, with our little miracle baby,” Powell said. “So we are so happy with our little family at three.”

A Note of Caution
Bindi Irwin felt the same way. The 26-year-old, who is also a television personality and zookeeper, added her voice in support of her husband’s view. “We feel very lucky to have Grace,” she said. “She is our beautiful girl, but she will probably be our one child. So she will be our one child.”
However, she left the door open to the possibility of another child. “You never know” what the future holds, she added. “Maybe we will be blessed with another little one down the road. That would be incredible. But, yeah, who knows?” She, however, pleaded with curious folks to be more sensitive and considerate of their feelings when asking the question.
“I really appreciate everybody who’s curious to see if we will have another child, but I do just want to send it out there that remember to be careful when you ask this question because you never know what’s happening in someone’s life,” she said.
Bindi Irwin made this statement about a medical condition she’s had that has stood in her way of taking in. “In a family’s world, everything may seem fine on the outside, and on the inside, their own personal journey might have been filled with turmoil and challenges that you know you can’t even fathom.”
Bindi Irwin conceded that most people who asked the question do it out of pure curiosity and concern. She, however, maintained that couples who are having a hard time with conception may receive the question differently. She described it as “a really tricky question for many, many people who maybe can’t have another baby [or] can’t have a baby at all.”
What Happened to Bindi Irwin?
In early 2023, Bindi Irwin was diagnosed with endometriosis. After that, she went through surgery, during which surgeons removed 37 lesions and a cyst from her ovary. Endometriosis is a medical condition caused by a tissue growing in the wrong part of the body.
This situation results in lots of excruciating pain, a distortion of the menstrual cycle, and a blockage of the fallopian tube. This blockage makes it difficult for any person with the condition to have babies.
Statistics have shown that 10% of women have the condition. Also, physicians usually discover it in people between 20 and 40 years. The major symptom of the condition is pain in the pelvic area. This pain intensifies just before or after the woman’s period.
In a number of interviews, Bindi Irwin has narrated how doctors dismissed her symptoms for years. During the period, which was about a decade, she had to put up with pain, fatigue, and nausea almost every day. She recalled that a series of tests couldn’t figure out the problem until 2023.
How Old Was Bindi When Steve Irwin Died?
Bindi Irwin is one of the two children of the legendary Steve Irwin, who is also known as the Crocodile Hunter. She was eight years old when her father died. Steve was a zookeeper, conservationist, wildlife educator, environmental rights activist, and television personality.
During his time, he rose to become a world-famous wildlife guy through his widely-watched show, “Crocodile Hunter.” Steve Irwin swam with crocodiles and trapped many of them with the help of his wife in intriguing ways. In most cases, he engaged in jaw-dropping wrestling with the reptiles.
Unfortunately, he died in 2006 while filming a documentary series titled “Ocean’s Deadliest.” As he engaged crocodiles, one of them, a stingray, pierced his chest. He died within one hour.
