A source close to the family revealed recently that Ben Affleck “has been very focused on getting Violet ready for move-in.” Her classes at Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut, begin soon, and the whole family is excited.
“It’s, of course, a huge deal for the whole family, and they’ve all been so excited the last few weeks,” the source said. Despite the split, Lopez has reportedly remained close to Affleck’s children, and she is aware that Violet will soon be off to college.
The actress-singer reportedly canceled her summer concert tour to spend more time with the kids and has enjoyed outings in recent months with Violet. A source said she “wants to spend quality time with [their kids] before school resumes and Violet is off to college.”

Lopez joined Affleck to celebrate Violet’s high school graduation in late May. Back then, the couple presented a united front by holding hands. However, reports claim they had already been spending time apart since then.

Violet is not the only Affleck who has hit new milestones recently. Her father, Ben Affleck, celebrated his 52nd birthday on August 15 with a small party at his home.
A source previously told PEOPLE that the intimate celebration with his kids was “exactly what he wanted.” The actor reportedly had no desire to be out in public, but his kids made the day extra special with the gifts they got him.
Affleck also received visits from Garner, 52, and Lopez, 55, at his rental home in Brentwood, California. Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner, who divorced in 2018, also share Seraphina, 15, and Samuel, 12, and Lopez is mom to 16-year-old twins Max and Emme, with ex-husband Marc Anthony.
