In one of the longest divorce spats Hollywood has ever seen, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are still looking to one-up the other, in court and off it. Reports claim they divorced on April 12, 2019, but their fight is far from over.
They have not been able to get past what happened between them, even though the pair have seemingly moved on with other people. Their fight has now taken on a new dimension in court as Pitt calls Jolie’s latest request for evidence in their ongoing winery case “intrusive.”
Angelina Jolie Wants an End to the Fighting
Angelina Jolie’s divorce from Brad Pitt was acrimonious. However, Jolie seems ready to let go and finally end their fight, which never really ended. Of course, she is not doing it out of the goodness of her heart. Jolie has put Pitt in a difficult position.

According to her attorney, the actress says Pitt can end the fight by simply dropping his lawsuit against her regarding their winery. The winery lawsuit began with Pitt suing Jolie after she sold her half of Château Miraval for $67 million in October 2021.
His argument was that the sale violated their verbal agreement. In her defense, Jolie said she did not let him buy her out of the business because it came with an NDA clause she did not want to sign as part of the deal.
Latest Developments on the Winery Lawsuit
The latest report regarding Pitt and Jolie’s winery case has revealed that the actress formally requested that Pitt disclose third-party communications he had after the 2016 plane ride incident that preceded their divorce.
Pitt’s legal team called her request “intrusive” and a “sensationalist fishing expedition” and have asked the judge to deny it. On July 17, Jolie’s lawyer, Paul Murphy, said that Pitt, in his past offer to buy Jolie’s stake in the winery, “tried to punish and control Angelina by demanding a newly expanded NDA to cover his personal misconduct and abuse.”
Murphy added, “Those actions are central to these proceedings. We are not at all surprised Mr. Pitt is afraid to turn over the documents demonstrating these facts.” Murphy also pointed out Jolie’s willingness to end “the fighting and finally put their family on a clear path toward healing,” but that it would only happen if the veteran actor withdraws his lawsuit.
Until he does that, Murphy says that Jolie “has no choice but to obtain the evidence necessary to prove his allegations wrong.”
More About the Controversial Evidence
According to Pitt’s lawyers in a recent court filing, the third-party communications Jolie’s team are requesting deals with “sensitive issues” (including “therapy he voluntarily undertook after the flight incident”) and feature some of “his most trusted advisors.”
They also claimed Jolie “wants them anyway as part of her efforts to turn this business dispute into a re-litigation of the former couple’s divorce case.” In May, a judge forced Jolie to produce eight years’ worth of non-disclosure agreements she had made.
The disclosure of her history of NDAs is an attempt to illustrate that it’s a standard business practice. Murphy said back then that they are “more than happy to” present those “common NDAs” since they “are simply not comparable to Mr. Pitt’s last-second demand to try and cover up his personal misconduct.”
He further added that the ruling “opens the door to discovery on all issues related to Pitt’s abuse” and that they welcome the transparency.
Despite Murphy’s sentiments, a source close to Pitt said at the time that the ruling was a “significant blow to the credibility” of Jolie’s claims and a “strong statement challenging them to match their rhetoric with actual facts, which they consistently have not been able to do.”

The former couple is proud parents of six kids, including Maddox, 22, Pax, 20, Zahara, 19, Shiloh, 18, Knox and Vivienne, 16. Earlier this month, a source close to the family told PEOPLE that Pitt barely has contact with his adult kids but still enjoys visitation with the younger ones.
The source said, “He has virtually no contact with the adult kids. His engagement with the younger kids has been more limited in recent months because of his filming schedule.” At the time, Pitt was on location in Europe filming his upcoming racing movie, “F1.”
