Tia Mowry is dating herself.
The 46-year-old actress disclosed this during a recent interview with E! News. Following her October 2022 divorce from fellow actor Cory Hardrict, the “Family Reunion” star has decided to let fans in on how she’s been coping since then. She’s also let us know whether she could be dating anything soon.
“Right now, it’s not something that I’m focusing on,” she responded during the exclusive sit-down with the entertainment news outlet. For now, dating isn’t one of the plans she has for herself. Tia Mowry has decided to be all by herself, working on the things that matter most to her, among which is her family.
“I’m just really focusing on myself, dating myself. I’m in this era of just self-discovery and learning more about love, learning what love is,” she declared. The multiple award-winning actress, however, hinted that her decision is based upon a change in perspective and that her decision could evolve in the coming months.
“My outlook could change next month or five months from now,” she explained. “But dating, I guess what I can say, if I’m being truly authentic, it’s not on my mind right now.” For now, her kids, Cree, 13, and Cairo, 6, will get a large chunk of her attention until a new phase opens up in her love life.

How Are Tia Mowry and Cory Hardrict Coping With the Divorce?
Mowry disclosed how she’s been coping with life after a divorce. “At times, many people like myself could feel alone in this process,” she revealed. The actress also disclosed her intention to continue sharing her struggles as a divorced mother to inspire other women in her shoes.
“Co-parenting with the person that there’s still love there, but the union is no longer, trying to navigate those waters, learning how to parent from two different households. It’s a lot,” she says. “I wanted to talk about that because it’s not talked about.”
She wants women like her to know they can survive, especially if the other spouse is cooperative. “It is possible, as long as you have two parents that are focused on the happiness of their children,” Tia Mowry continued. “And so, I just wanted to just show that it’s hard, but just because it’s hard doesn’t mean that it’s not possible to have a beautiful, amazing co-parenting situation,” she added.
So far, Mowry and Hardrict have been playing their parental role well. Ever since their divorce, they’ve been spending quality time with the children. Tia Mowry also disclosed that she’s gotten some help from therapy.
Now she has found peace from loving and appreciating herself. “It wasn’t easy getting to where I am, but it feels good. I am so proud of me,” she said. “I have the most peace that I have had and that is because of me loving on me.”
What Led to Tia Mowry’s Divorce?
On what caused her split from Cory Hardrict, Tia Mowry explained that her desire to focus on her happiness provoked the decision. Speaking in an interview on the Today show, in the thick of the divorce process, the actress revealed the moment of “awakening,” which informed the separation. She stated that she knew the exact moment when she made the decision.
“I knew when I really started to focus on my happiness,” said the Germany-born star. “I feel like women, we tend to focus on everybody else’s happiness, making sure that everybody else is OK – meaning our children, our friends, our family – but at the end of the day, it’s all about self-love.”
“When you start to really work on yourself, love yourself, know your value, and know your worth, then all of a sudden, there’s this awakening,” she added. “It’s a hard journey, but at the end of the day, I feel like it is so, so worth it,” she concluded as the audience responded with thunderous applause.
Does Tia Mowry Have a Husband Now?
As of October 2024, Tia Mowry is still single after divorcing Cory Hardrict, her husband of 14 years. She filed the divorce papers on Tuesday, October 4, 2022, citing “irreconcilable differences.” The actress also asked the court to grant joint physical and legal custody of their two children, Cree and Cairo.
She announced her split via Instagram, sharing a Vex King quote that goes, “Letting go can be painful. But, it won’t hurt as much as holding on to an illusion.” She also penned a message to her fans, saying that she and Cory Hardict have “decided to go our separate ways.” She further added that the decision was not “easy, and not without sadness.”

Does Tia Mowry Have a Boyfriend?
Tia Mowry doesn’t have a boyfriend. Since her divorce from Hardrict, she has made no effort to resume dating. Instead, she is committed to focusing on herself and her family. However, for anyone looking to share her life with her, she has stated her requirements for her next date.
“Listen, if anyone is coming into my life, whether it’s a man, whether it’s a job, whether it’s a friend, they’re going to have to add to it because this tree is solid. This tree has a foundation. This tree is strong,” she says.
