For many people, “The Office” was the top comedy series in the eight years it aired in American homes. By the time the show came to an end in 2015, many of its cast had become household names and the subject of popular memes. So where are they now? “The Office” was a “mockumentary,” meaning a documentary of the lives of fictional characters who were office colleagues. It got its inspiration from a British comedy series with the same name and setting. The original British version aired for two years, from 2001 to 2003. It has an amazing set of casts that changed as the series progressed through its nine seasons. But where are they now?

Steve Carrell Is Still Acting
In the series, Steve Carrell, who played Michael Scott, was the regional manager of the fictional Dunder Mifflin Paper Company. His character was a mimic of David Brent, an equivalent character in the British version. He had an awkward sense of humor and made jokes that offended the rest of the staff.
After his time on the show, Carrell moved beyond comedy and starred in a number of more serious movies, such as “Foxcatcher” in 2014 and Netflix’s “Space Force.” He also did the voice-over for Gru in “Despicable Me.” He has been married since 1995 to Nancy Walls and is a proud father of two kids.

Jenna Fischer Is Still in the Industry
After her role as Pam Beesly, a receptionist and a darling of the office, Jenna Fischer never hung her boots. In 2018, she starred in the ABC show, “Splitting Up Together.” In addition, she has taken on roles in a number of movies, such as “Brad’s Status” in 2017 and “Paris” in 2018.
She has been married twice, first to movie director James Gunn. Their marriage ended in a divorce in 2007. She then tied the knot with screenwriter Lee Kirk, with whom she has two children.
John Krasinski Put His Foot on the Gas
Since his role as Jim Halpert, the sales rep, and later assistant regional manager, John Krasinski has had a flourishing Hollywood career. Krasinski starred as Jack Ryan, a CIA agent in Tom Clancy’s “Jack Ryan.”
He also played major roles in blockbuster movies such as 2016’s “13 Hours: Secret Soldiers of Benghazi,” “Detroit (2017),” and “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness (2022).” He married fellow actress Emily Blunt in 2010, and they both share two kids.
Rainn Wilson is Still Doing What He Does Best
Who can forget Rainn Wilson’s character, Dwight Shrute, the weird office staff who was also a beet farmer? Although his Hollywood career has been pretty subdued, he has kept the flag flying.
Since his days on “The Office,” Wilson has participated in films such as “Room 104,” “Star Trek: Discovery,” and “The Rookie.” He has also done voiceover work for several animated movie projects, such as “Superman.”
Which “The Office” Character Passed Away?
While every major actor in America’s version of “The Office” is still alive, the British version has lost one of its stars, Ewen MacIntosh. MacIntosh played Keith Bishop, a deadpan accountant with a monotone message on his answerphone. He appeared in the two seasons of the show.
MacIntosh also played in several British movie projects. Notable among these was his role as Lionel in the romantic comedy film “Finding Fatimah.” Unfortunately, he passed away in February 2024 at the age of 50. The cause of his death hasn’t been disclosed.
Did “The Office” Cast Date in Real Life?
While we didn’t get to see any of “The Office” cast fall in love outside the screen, they have largely had awesome relationships and marriages. As stated earlier, Steve Carrell, Jenna Fischer, John Krasinski, and Rainn Wilson are all happily married and with children.
Things aren’t too different from the others. Brian Baumgartner has been married to the love of his life, Celeste Ackelson, since 2014. Angela Kinsey, who was previously married to Warren Lieberstein but got divorced in 2010, is now married to fellow actor Joshua Snyder.
Although Kate Flannery isn’t married, she’s been in a relationship with professional photographer Chris Haston. Leslie David Baker, who played Stanley Hudson, is also married to an undisclosed partner.

Who Is the Richest Cast Member From “The Office?“
Among all of “The Office cast,” none produced memes than Steve Carrell and John Krasinski. Interestingly, they also made the most fortune after the end of the show. Both Carrell and Krasinski have amassed up to $80 million from their subsequent ventures. Notable among them is their acting career, which blossomed impressively.
Krasinski later starred in a number of high-profile movies, including working with Marvel. Carrell had the same fate and even bagged loads of prestigious awards for his amazing performances.
Why Did Steve Leave “The Office?“
Fans of “The Office” received unexpected news after learning that Steve Carrell wouldn’t be appearing in season eight of the show. Carrell left his role as Michael Scott after his contract with the production expired.
Carrell needed the break to look after his family. However, there were reports that NBC didn’t make moves to renew the contract. According to popular opinion, this change greatly affected the show’s fortunes in terms of viewership and revenue.
