Maya Jama, popularly known for her role as the presenter on “Love Island” and renowned British rapper Stormzy, recently announced their breakup. Stormzy and Maya Jama, who have been together for almost a decade, revealed their breakup in an Instagram statement on July 17, 2024.
Their statement jokingly noted that they never imagined themselves as one of those couples who come online to make public breakup announcements. The truth is, no one wishes to be that couple until the breakup happens.

In 2020, Stormzy opened up about their first breakup in a YouTube interview with Charlamagne Tha God. He noted that he had “never loved anyone” like Maya Jama, suggesting he would have loved to make their relationship work.
He also noted that he never cheated on her, constantly hinting at trying to be the man for her and their children.
