Insider reports suggest that Kim Kardashian has been receiving little parenting help from Kanye West. A source close to the reality TV star revealed to reporters that the multi-award-winning rapper hasn’t been showing up for his kids: North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm. This means that Kim Kardashian has been shouldering the parental responsibilities alone.
It’s no longer news that the rapper’s relationship with his ex-wife has been frosty for the past few years. But that’s not unexpected, as that’s how many divorces go. What’s shocking is that their two sons and daughters could be bearing the brunt. They haven’t been seeing much of their father, and their mom has been trying to fill in both spaces.
“Kanye is sadly not around very much. She’s pretty much a single mom,” the source alleged. “Although she has help, it’s still a lot of work for her to balance and coordinate everything.” One can imagine how demanding the responsibility of caring for the kids would be, seeing that the oldest among them is only 11.
However, Kardashian is determined to put in the work. According to the source, she has planned her schedule and daily activities to best serves the kid’s needs. She does all her work while they are in school and resumes her motherly activities as soon as they return. On the other hand, West has moved on with life as an absent father and hasn’t looked back.
West’s alleged behavior is likely related to the bitter feud between himself and his ex-wife. But it could be more than that. Kanye West reportedly doesn’t like Kim Kardashian’s kids. The multiple award-winning artist has only been paying child support and nothing else.

Kanye West is now married to Bianca Censori. After Kim Kardashian and Kanye West divorced in February 2021, fans became anxious to see their next moves. Kanye West was the first to open a new chapter by dating the Australian architect and model.

West and Censori amplified the romance rumors after they were spotted eating out at the Waldorf Astoria Beverly Hills. A few days later, photos emerged of the lovebirds entering a hotel together. Reports stated that Kim Kardashian wasn’t very pleased with Kanye West’s wife as she had suspected a spark between them even before the divorce. In addition, Kanye West’s relationship with Kim Kardashian continued to decline after the divorce. It began with West taking shots at Kardashian on social media. West expressed his displeasure at Kardashian allowing their daughter, North, to post on TikTok. Notably, North was 8 years old at the time.
In an interview, West said, “My children ain’t going to be on TikTok without my permission.” He also talked about the issue in now-deleted social media posts, one of which had him calling for “help” from his followers.
In her response, Kardashian called West’s posts “hurtful.” She wrote on her Instagram, “Kanye’s constant attacks on me in interviews and on social media is actually more hurtful than any TikTok North might create.”
“I am doing my best to protect our daughter while also allowing her to express her creativity in a medium that she wishes with adult supervision,” she continued. Kardashian also frowned at bringing up their private issues on social media. “I wish to handle all matters privately and hopefully,” she added.
How Many Kids Does Kanye West Have?
Kanye West’s former wife, Kim Kardashian, has four children for him. The first is their daughter, North West, 11, born on June 15, 2013. She has an outgoing personality and loves to paint. North West has also tested the waters of acting. A film she took part in, “Paw Patrol: The Mighty Movie,” hit the cinemas in September 2024 and became a success.
