As though that wasn’t enough, Munn revealed in May that she had to remove her uterus and other reproductive organs due to the ongoing cancer treatment. What’s sad is the fact that she froze her eggs to prevent the chances of expanding the family.

Olivia Munn and John Mulaney’s love story became public news in 2021. The duo became official In May 2021, with reports initially speculating their budding romance. Fast forward to September of the same year, Munn and Mulaney confirmed their relationship and pregnancy during an appearance on Late Night with Seth Meyers.
Speaking about the journey ahead, Mulaney shared that he met Munn when he visited Los Angeles during the spring season. He also noted that their relationship has been incredibly beautiful, and when he realized that they were having a baby, he was excited and nervous.
The duo welcomed their son, Malcolm Hiệp, on November 24, 2021. During his first birthday celebration in 2022, Munn took to Instagram to express her excitement.
Mulaney’s Support Through the Breast Cancer Diagnosis
As previously mentioned, Munn went through a rough phase in February 2023 when she was diagnosed with bilateral breast cancer. When describing the experience, she noted that the phase saw her undergo four surgeries. She underwent a double mastectomy and further reconstructive surgery.

However, love always leads. Mulaney stood firm by her side, ensuring she never felt lonely. In an interview with Vogue, John Mulaney credited his wife’s strength despite her health crisis, emphasizing their support for each other.
As he puts it, “Olivia and I have been through a lot of things together in the past couple of years. Just side-by-side, supporting each other through anything. And as her guy, I felt both scared and protective.”
On the other hand, Munn herself praised Mulaney for his steadfast presence and support. According to her, it would’ve felt like climbing an iceberg without him. Despite the challenges, Mulaney balanced fatherhood and caregiving admirably. He ensured that Malcolm was well-cared for while being there for Munn during her treatments.
