After Drake Bell’s shocking reveal in a new documentary and social media outrage, Josh Peck speaks up and says things need to change for the better. He says it is important to create a safe and supportive environment for all actors, especially the young ones.
The former Nickelodeon star broke his silence on Thursday, March 21, 2024, over the “Quiet on Set” documentary. Peck’s comments come after fans kept going at him, demanding that he speak up about the documentary while posting stuff on social media without addressing it. Notably, the documentary was an expose by Drake Bell to the ills child actors go through in Hollywood.
Josh Peck Posted His View on “Quiet on Set”
On March 21, 2024, Josh Peck spoke about taking time to process “Quiet on Set.” “I finished the ‘Quiet on Set’ documentary and took a few days to process it,” he wrote. “I reached out to Drake privately, but I want to give my support for the survivors who were brave enough to share their stories of emotional and physical abuse on Nickelodeon sets with the world.”
“Children should be protected,” he continued. “Reliving this publicly is incredibly difficult, but I hope it can bring healing for the victims and their families as well as necessary change to our industry.”

Peck’s Post Was Made at the Perfect Timing
Peck’s post came at the nick of time, as his name had been blowing up all week. Since the documentary aired, everyone’s been wondering if he would say something. Even though he wasn’t in “Quiet on Set,” he was one of the biggest Nickelodeon stars back in the day.
So, fans were curious to hear his thoughts on the whole situation. It’s not news that Josh Peck and Drake Bell appeared on the Nickelodeon hit show “Drake & Josh” together. Years later, Drake opened up about his experience with abuse as a teen.
Drake Bell’s Claim About Child Molestation
Bell recently spoke out about those claims that he was molested by a dialogue coach when he was a teenager on Nickelodeon. However, Josh Peck hasn’t mentioned if he went through anything himself or if he knew about what Bell was dealing with.
But from what he said, it seems he probably didn’t know about it. When Drake Bell revealed the child molestation experience, fans took to Peck’s social media to express their disappointment for being quiet about the claim.
A user said, “Your silence speaks volumes, bro. It’s really sad.” Another added, “Your silence is loud, brother.” Another concerned fan asked, “Have you checked on Drake?”
Bell Defended Josh Peck
Bell, who spoke up about being molested by the former Nickelodeon dialogue coach, Brian Peck, noticed all the hate comments flooding his co-star’s social media accounts. He thinks those comments are undeserved. “Why spread hate?” he said. “We should be supporting each other through tough times.”
Peck’s lack of involvement fueled speculation, prompting some social media users to flood the comments of his posts on TikTok and Instagram with questions about the series and his seeming lack of support for his former co-star.
Bell mentioned that Josh Peck has been supportive since the documentary came out. He said a lot is happening behind the scenes that fans aren’t aware of. It just goes to show that not everything is visible on social media.
“I just want you guys to know that he has reached out to me, and it’s been very sensitive,” he said. “He has reached out to talk with me and help me work through this, and it has been great.”
Nickelodeon’s Statement on Bell’s Documentary
“Drake & Josh,” created and executive produced by Dan Schneider, revolved around the antics of two teen stepbrothers (Drake Bell and Josh Peck). The two had opposing personalities, and it featured Drake’s bratty little sister Megan (Miranda Cosgrove). It aired on Nickelodeon for four seasons, beginning in 2004.
After Bell broke his silence about his abuse in “Quiet on Set,” Nickelodeon released a statement. “Now that Drake Bell has disclosed his identity as the plaintiff in the 2004 case,” the statement read. “We are dismayed and saddened to learn of the trauma he has endured, and we commend and support the strength required to come forward.”
