AIDS Healthcare Foundation (AHF) is the world’s largest HIV/AIDS service organization. Recently, they announced that singer, actor, and activist Eric Benet will be the headliner for the upcoming 19th Annual Florida AIDS Walk & Music Festival.
This annual event always gathers over 2,000 attendees, a significant part of spring break in the region. Additionally, the event serves as a platform to raise funds, with a target of $2 million. These funds directly benefit 13 local nonprofit organizations dedicated to providing essential HIV/AIDS services in South Florida.
YouTube sensation Todrick Hall and international DJ/producer DJ Citizen Jane will be a part of the star-studded lineup at the festival. In addition, there is Eric Benet, famous for signing his inaugural record deal with Warner Bros. Records in 1994.
Notable milestones in Benet’s career include his sophomore album, “A Day in the Life.” This album featured the hit single “Spend My Life with You.” In addition to his music career, Benet ventured into acting, starting with a guest appearance on the sitcom “For Your Love” in 1999. Furthermore, he played a role in the 2001 film “Glitter.”

That same year, Benet released his third studio album, “Hurricane,” following a fresh collaboration with Reprise Records. Benet’s career continued to thrive even when he took on the role of Reece Wilcox in the 2005 series “Half & Half.” Moreover, he secured a recurring position on the MTV scripted show “Kaya” in 2007.
Also, Benet’s discography boasts other albums like “Love & Life,” “Lost in Time,” “The One,” and the self-titled “Eric Benet.” Notably, Benet holds four Grammy Award nominations. The year 2000 marked a significant milestone when he received the NAACP Image Award for “Spend My Life with You.”
Beyond Benet’s artistic endeavors, he and his business partner, music industry veteran Alsion Ball, recently established JBR Entertainment Group. Moreover, he collaborated with Wynonna Judd, Terry Dexter, and Micheal McDonald to perform “Heart of America,” raising funds for the hurricane victims.
Furthermore, he co-founded Mission Save Her, a nonprofit to combat human trafficking and the sexual abuse of women and girls globally. AHF Southern Bureau Chief Tracy Jones stated, “We are honored to have Eric Benet join the Florida AIDS Walk and Music Festival.”

She continued, “This annual event raises critical funds for local HIV and AIDS nonprofit service organizations. And having Eric lend his voice and star power to the day’s festivities is a true gift.” Notably, the Florida AIDS Walk and Music Festival will feature informational booths on health and wellness services.
This is alongside engaging family-focused activities, such as children’s games, food trucks, and many more. The 19th Annual Florida AIDS Walk & Music Festival amplifies awareness and proves the collective efforts to curb HIV/AIDS.
