Everybody is well aware that there is no love between Nancy Pelosi and Donald Trump. Not only are they on different parties, but they both have very different ideals. However, the one thing they can agree on is the other’s incompetence and malice.
The pair had one of their frequent spats recently. By spat, we mean one party made a derisive statement about the other, and the aggrieved party, usually Trump, responded with heat—the virtual kind.
Their latest verbal combat started long before Trump became aware of it. It began with his statements during the first presidential debate, many of which have been fact-checked and disproven.
Many turned out to be lies, others exaggerations, and some misleading. One, in particular, included false claims about the January 6, 2021 attacks. During the debate, Trump named Pelosi as the person who refused his offer to send 10,000 additional troops to the Capitol on January 6.

The New York Times fact checks of the debate claim this fact is misleading, noting that Pelosi did not have the power to make such decisions at the time. The statements did not sit well with Pelosi, and in two Sunday interviews, the Speaker bashed Trump over them.
On MSNBC’s “Inside with Jen Psaki,” she tagged him as a liar, saying that he lied and that it was he “who would not send the National Guard” to the Capitol. She pointed out that his actions hurt people and called him “dangerous and evil.”
However, that was not the end of it. Pelosi also brought up the subject during CNN’s “State of the Union.” She blamed him for instigating the “insurrection” and then tried to blame it on her. Never one to take an insult quietly, Trump responded via Truth Social.
He called Pelosi “crazy” and claimed that her daughter had exposed her as being fully responsible for the lack of security on January 6. The former president also said that she is “more cognitively impaired than Crooked Joe Biden.”

He added, “I just watched her do an interview, and she was way off.’ Additionally, she is suffering from TRUMP DERANGEMENT SYNDROME, sometimes referred to as TDS, and her case is terminal! She is a sick ‘puppy’ and always has been!!!”
Ian Krager, Pelosi’s spokesperson, has defended her. He replied to Trump’s comments by pointing out that the former Speaker does not control “security of the Capitol Complex.”
Krager also lamented how pathetic it is that “Trump and his MAGA allies are still trying to whitewash the deadly insurrection.” He said the public witnessed the events of January 6 and “can see right through Republicans’ revisionist history.”
