Saturday, August 3, 2024, was a disappointing day for many of California’s Disneyland guests. As fun-seekers glided through the Alice in Wonderland ride at the facility, something unexpected happened. The ride malfunctioned, leaving guests stuck and nervous.
One of the affected guests was Amanda Poole, who was armed with her phone and wanted to capture an enthralling experience. But her hopes were dashed midway through the ride. Although the ride started pretty fine, Poole became disturbed as her carriage approached a popular part of the ride.
She was just about to enter the tunnel, which featured the glow-in-the-dark teapots when the malfunction happened. “Broken,” she could be heard saying in the video as the door between her and the ride in front of her slammed shut.
“Ah…Oh my God,” she screamed as her carriage ran into the closed door. “Just got smacked by the door on Alice in Wonderland,” she reported. Afterward, the ride ground to a halt, and the lights came on to reveal the items in the previously dark tunnel. Teapots of various shapes and colors, along with other items, were visible in the video.
Just then, a voice spoke from the speakers trying to reassure guests of their safety. The voice urged the fun-seekers to remain in their seats while waiting for assistance. “A cast member will be with you shortly,” the voice assured. Commenting on her experience, Poole disclosed that “It was kind of like jumpy throughout the ride.”
“Got down to go through the last door, the door is open, and they went bam, right on our caterpillar,” she narrated further. “I’m gonna get an in-show exit on Alice Wonderland,” she also said. A short while later, she stated, “It’s like right by the exit…but hopefully, we’ll be able to go through the tunnel. Oh, yeah, we’re gonna have to go through the tunnel. Ok.”

Which Is the Biggest Disneyland in the World?
The biggest Disney theme park in the world is Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida. The facility covers 25,000 acres or 110 square kilometers, making it by far the biggest Disney Park in the world. In fact, the park is almost the size of San Francisco and attracts millions of people every year. The Florida Walt Disney World was built in 1971.
Next to it are the Disneyland Resort in Paris, which occupies 4,800 acres of land, and the California Disneyland, which occupies 510 acres.
Is the UK Getting a Disneyland?

The proposed location for the park was Swanscombe Peninsula near Dartford in Kent, an area covering 535 acres. Plans were to have the facility fully operational by 2025. However, for some reason, the plans didn’t see the light of day.
First, Natural England, the UK government’s nature protection adviser, designated the land as a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI). This followed the discovery of rare species such as the 1cm jumping spider. Secondly, the construction of a new freeport at Tilbury also complicated the plan.

What Is the Difference Between Disneyland and Disney World?
Contrary to many opinions, Disneyland and Disney World aren’t quite the same. There are some marked differences between the two. So, in case you are wondering which to visit, especially if you reside in the US, here is some information that would help you make the best choice.
First, the facility in Florida is a Disney World, while the one in California is a Disneyland. Secondly, Disney World is much bigger than Disneyland. Thirdly, the facilities have different castles. Cinderella Castle is the main castle at Disney World and is about 189 feet tall, while the Sleeping Beauty Castle in Disneyland is about 77 feet tall.
Lastly, while Disney World has three resort hotel properties: Disneyland Hotel, Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel, and Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel and Spa, Disney World has more than 24. These include Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa, Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort, and Disney’s Contemporary Resort.
