In a conversation on X Spaces on August 8, Cardi B, 31, an expecting mother, shared details of the “freak accident” that nearly made her lose her pregnancy. According to the rapper, the incident happened while descending a flight of stairs.
Boom, she miscalculated her steps, and as she puts it, “I almost fell, and in an effort to catch myself, I grabbed onto the railing.” Sadly, despite grabbing the railing, she still slipped and took a hard fall.
Cardi B Almost Miscarried Because of a “Freak Accident.”
After the great fall, the rapper was left in excruciating pain and unable to move. In fact, after losing her balance, she described feeling a sudden, unusual sensation that she compared to a “pop.” As she tried to stand, she realized that her condition was more serious than she imagined.
Immediately, she called out for her father, who rushed to her aid. Cardi B’s father, Carlos Alman, tried helping her up and moving her off the stairs. But guess what? Things did not feel right. The rapper noted that she felt sharp pain in her lower abdomen, an area already sensitive due to her pregnancy.

Well, she thought she would be fine after taking a quick nap. Sadly, the situation grew worse when she woke up later, completely immobile. The pain intensified to the point where slight movements in her feet caused severe discomfort in her lower stomach.
Who wouldn’t panic in such a situation, though? Panic set in after the accident, and an ambulance rushed her to the hospital, where doctors discovered that she had a torn ligament in her pelvis. The injury was particularly concerning because it was located near her baby’s head.
As if the matter wasn’t worse already, Cardi B started experiencing contractions every two minutes for an entire day! In response to critics who questioned her request for additional pain relief, Cardi stressed that she never exaggerates her experiences and that the ordeal was far more serious than many understood.
