The highly anticipated “Blockbusta tour” by Busta Rhymes, spanning 24 dates from the electrifying March 13, 2024, kickoff in San Francisco to the grand finale on April 21, has been called off. Ticketmaster website now reveals a list of cancellations, turning what was meant to be a musical journey into a silent hiatus.
While Busta Rhymes actively engages his audience on Instagram, he remains silent regarding the abrupt cancellation of the “Blockbusta tour.” Fans, immersed in speculation, eagerly anticipate an official statement from the artist himself.
Designed initially to include tracks from “Blockbusta,” the tour promised a star-studded lineup with top-tier artists. This included Young Thug, Chris Brown, Quavo, and more. Proof of Rhyme’s enduring influence, the album boasted collaborations with famous producers Pharrell, Timberland, and Swizz Beatz.
Following the cancellation, fans voiced their frustration on social media after the unexpected cancellation of the tour. One lamented, “Damn Busta Rhymes, why’d you cancel your tour? I was gonna take my mama to that for her birthday.” Another critic said, “Busta Rhymes cancels all 2024 Blockbusta tour dates a week before kickoff.”

They continued, “I guess he didn’t think the nonsense would catch up to him. I guess he thought wrong.” A third fan expressed surprise. They stated, “Am I the first person on the planet to realize #BLOCKBUSTAtour has had dates canceled? Was coming to NYC to watch Busta Rhymes, loaded Ticketmaster and Pow, this just one of many.”
The tour cancellation happens in the aftermath of a recent altercation between Rhymes and Nizzle Man at French Montana’s “Mac & Cheese 5” listening party. Also, before the sudden cancellation of the “Blockbusta tour,” Busta Rhymes recently concluded its dynamics on 50 Cent’s “The Final Lap tour” in December.
Before embarking on that tour, Rhymes shared a transformative chapter of his life in Men’s Health magazine. He detailed shedding an impressive 100 pounds to enhance his well-being. This commitment to health stemmed from a harrowing experience he described as feeling like “an asthma attack– but I don’t have asthma.”
In November 2023, during the promotional rounds for his “Blockbusta” album, Rhymes revealed that he kept shedding weight while on 50 Cent’s tour. The multi-platinum rapper is celebrated for tracks like “Put Your Hands Where My Eyes Could See” and “Woo-Hah!! Got You All in Check.”

Moreover, he received several recognitions for his illustrious career. In June 2023, he accepted a lifetime achievement award at the BET Awards. Adding to his recent accolades, Rhymes graced the stage at a special event hosted by Spotify and RIAA.
This joint venture, held at the newly opened Atlantis in Washington, D.C., aimed to benefit Musicians On Call (MOC) and showcased Rhyme’s continued influence and commitment to the music community. Fans await communication from Ticketmaster regarding rescheduled dates or refund options for the tickets.
