Judge Sommer criticized the prosecution’s actions, stating that their behavior was “intentional and deliberate” and constituted “scorching prejudice,” indicating severe misconduct that the court could not rectify.

The dismissal with prejudice ensures that Baldwin cannot be retried on the exact charges. Emotionally, Alec Baldwin shed joy in the courtroom following the ruling. He later thanked his supporters on Instagram, acknowledging their overwhelming kindness and support.
He wrote, “There are too many people who have supported me to thank just now. To all of you, you will never know how much I appreciate your kindness toward my family.”
