In a recent interview, Rob Lowe bared his soul on the brink of his 60th birthday. Here, he revealed a mindset that defies conventional aging norms. “The 9-1-1: Lone” Star actor confessed that he’s “never felt better” about getting closer to his golden years.
He said, “Luckily, I’ve had some time as the run-up. I love milestone birthdays because they really are an opportunity to reflect and think about where you want to go.” He continued, “I’m so humbled and grateful that I have never had more things that are interesting to me going on in my life. I never felt better.”
Lowe said, “My relationships and every level, I’m in the pocket, and this is exactly the way I want to go into my next decade.” Looking ahead to what he has to look forward to in his later years, the “Parks & Recreation alum” said, “There’s a lot.”
That Birthday Feeling
Lowe said that this birthday makes him feel like he’s starting another chapter of life. He said he follows anything that satisfies his curiosity, where he can learn and impact, whether it’s movies, TV, podcasts, books, or business marketing.

Notably, in March, he shared in an interview that he’s adopted lifestyle changes to stay in tip-top shape. He said, “I feel better than I’ve ever felt. And I think part of it is because I’m more conscious of self-care. I’m as strong as I’ve ever been.”
He always noted how he felt intimidated by turning 40. He also remembered being scared by turning 50, and 60 is no different. And just like those milestones, the closer he gets, the better he feels about it.
New Year, New Goals
Regarding his goals for his new age, Lowe reveals a profound sense of staying active without getting injured. However, he noted that the challenge for him is that a day off means a day off. But what if he wants to continue to do things?
The “West Wing” actor further said, “I really have to push myself to say, ‘No, no, this is the day where it’s okay to sit on the couch and watch football.’ I love a good sauna, I love the cold plunge, and I’ve become reacquainted with the value of just a long walk, which I used to think was a waste of time, and I now know differently.”

Star-Studded Soiree
Rob Lowe pulled out all the stops for his milestone 60th birthday, hosting an unforgettable A-list party in Santa Barbara, California. The event was the talk of the town. Lowe’s wife, Sheryl Berkoff, and their two sons, John Owen and Mathew, also partied with the actor and his famous friends over the weekend.
Among those who attended the event included Robert Downey Jr., a freshly minted Oscars winner, Zoe Saldaña, Amy Poehler, Kevin Costner, and Jennifer Aniston, and Gwyneth Paltrow, who came with her husband Brad Falchuck.
Love was also in the air as power couples made the party a date night to remember. They included Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom, Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi, Adam Levine, and Behati Prinsloo. Adding to the lovey-dovey atmosphere, we have Cameron Diaz and Benji Madden, who attended the party a day after they announced the arrival of their second baby, son Cardinal.
With such a star-studded turnout, Lowe’s birthday bash was the ideal Hollywood glamor, leaving guests and onlookers alike in awe of the spectacle and memories shared in California.
