A friend of the actor’s ex-wife seems to believe they are. Amanda de Cadenet, a known ally of Deborra-Lee Furness, Hugh Jackman’s ex-wife, rocked the boat as she spilled out her thoughts on social media. So, was Foster the reason for Jackman’s marriage collapse?
De Cadenet revived tensions and got tongues wagging when she suggested that an affair was the reason for her friend’s broken marriage. De Cadenet, who is a British actress and photographer was responding to an Instagram post when she spilled the beans. The post was a video of popular gossip blogger Tasha Lustig where she alleged Jackman’s infidelity to his wife.
In the video, Lustig claimed that Jackman was having an affair with Foster while he was still married to Furness. She also alleged that the pair met when they starred in The Music Man the Broadway music theatre classic. According to Lustig, one thing led to another and the pair eventually fell in love.
“You are on point on this one,” commented De Cadenet. “My beloved friend Deb is about to have her glow up any moment FYI!” she added. The post raised some dust and added some power to the rumor mills. But could this allegation be accurate, did Hugh Jackman cheat on his wife?

Hugh Jackman’s Ex-Wife Also Supported the Rumor of His Affair
Hugh Jackman’s ex-wife, Furness added some wood to the fire as she showed up under Lustig’s post. She “liked” Lustig’s video, an act that seemed like an endorsement of the story.
Fans of the former couple were stunned on September 2023 when Furness, also an Australian actor, announced her split from Jackman. The 68-year-old announced that their 27-year-old union was coming to an end. The pair got married on April 11, 1996, and became one of Hollywood’s most admired couples.
In a joint statement they released, the pair said they were ending the marriage on good terms. “We have been blessed to share almost 3 decades together as husband and wife in a wonderful, loving marriage. Our journey now is shifting and we have decided to separate to pursue our individual growth.”

A source has claimed that by the time the musical had ended in 2023, a romantic affair had begun between the two. One month after Jackman and Furness began their divorce process, Foster also filed to end her marriage with popular screenwriter, Ted Griffin.
The insider also revealed that Jackman and Foster put lots of effort into keeping their affair a secret. Another source stated that the pair were “100% together.” The source also alleged that they are planning to “spend the rest of their lives together.”

Hugh Jackman allegedly cheated on his wife with fellow actress, Sutton Foster, 49. According to the rumors, they fell in love with each other while they starred together in a musical. In addition, Foster has expressed her admiration for Jackman in the past.
In an interview she granted to Vogue magazine in 2022, she disclosed how she and Jackman became close friends. She stated that the friendship started at work. She also said that Jackman had an “impeccable reputation of being the hardest-working man, incredibly kind, and generous -and all of that is true.”
“He disarms everyone, and he doesn’t make anything about him,” she continued. “He’s now become one of my best friends, which was a surprise because you usually go into these things thinking, ‘Well, I hope we get along.’ But we just spent Memorial Day with our families. A source has revealed what transpired between Jackman and ex-wife Furness just before they called it quits on their decades-old marriage. According to the insider who spoke with Daily Mail, trouble started after Furness got wind of Hugh Jackman’s affair.
“She has suspected Hugh of cheating on her and he adamantly denied it over and over,” the source alleged. “This is what would hurt the worst.” According to the source, Furness was equally as hurt by Jackman’s denial as the affair. “They based their marriage on honesty. But if Hugh didn’t physically cheat, she knows that he did emotionally,” the source also stated.
The source went further, commenting on Furness’ endorsement of the video alleging Hugh Jackman’s affair. According to them, Furness isn’t the kind of person who would reveal such a scandalous discovery as regards Hugh Jackman’s affair, and “she still won’t say anything.”
“Her liking a simple post is the most subtle thing she could do that would have the greatest impact, and it cannot be proven in any way, shape, or form that it was a jab to him. It’s left up to interpretation,” they added.
