Ariana Grande and Dalton Gomez are officially divorced!
Six months after news of their divorce settlement broke, the former couple reportedly finalized their divorce. The reason the couple’s divorce has only now been finalized is to comply with the six-month waiting period required by statute for divorces filed in California.
Reportedly, as part of the divorce agreement, Grande will pay Gomez a one-time payment of $1,250,000 with no future alimony. She’ll also pay up to $25,000 to cover his attorneys’ fees. Grande is also expected to give Gomez half of the proceeds from the sale of their shared Los Angeles home.
Also, as reported, both Ariana Grande and Dalton Gomez had simultaneously filed for divorce. Grande’s lawyer, Laura Wasser, cited “irreconcilable differences” as the main reason for the divorce in her filings. The couple’s official separation reportedly took time to iron out the details to ensure an amicable split.
How Much Will Grande Pay for Spousal Support?
The divorce settlement grants Gomez a one-time, tax-free spousal support payment of $1,250,000 from Grande. Grande will also pay her ex-husband $25,000 in attorney fees and allow him to use their former Los Angeles home rent-free for 30 days.

The pair is also expected to put their shared property up for sale after settling their current $6 million mortgage. They are to split any profit that might arise equally.
“Grande and Gomez wanted to take care of each other through all of this and make it as easy on one another as possible. This is why they took their time with everything,” an insider reported. “They have a strong mutual respect.”
Divorce Prohibition
In addition to the aforementioned clauses, the ex-couples settlement also reportedly prohibits Gomez from speaking or writing. He can’t release “any book, article, interview, program or other production” concerning his relationship with Grande.
Besides, Gomez and Grande agreed not to “release any disclosure or publication of any photograph or tape in all forms. This is applicable whether now or hereafter created or other record or recording of any aspect of any activity in or about any home, office, or other property owned.”
Speculations About the Divorce
Presumptions about Ariana Grande and Gomez’s split first started after the singer was spotted without her famously designed wedding ring during a Wimbledon match. Grande has been living in the U.K. for some time, filming “Wicked.” That same month, it was reported that the couple had separated after two years of marriage.
Additionally, Grande reportedly deleted almost all pictures and mentions of Gomez from her Instagram page, including their wedding pictures and honeymoon snaps. That same week, rumors of Grande dating her “Wicked” co-star Ethan Slater started swirling around.
Confirmation that Slater had filed for divorce from his wife with whom he shares a one-year-old baby arrived shortly after. “Grande and Slater are just trying to lay low and be respectful of their exes as they pursue this new relationship,” an insider said.
Their Marriage History
Ariana Grande and Dalton Gomez announced their engagement in late 2020. The then-couple tied the knot in May 2021 with a small, intimate ceremony. According to reports, less than 20 guests attended the wedding. It’s still unclear when and how the pair met. However, rumors have it they met through mutual friends.

Grande and Gomez made their unofficial couple debut by appearing in the music video for the quarantine anthem “Stuck With U.” During their time together, they kept a low profile. They only share rare glimpses of their private life sporadically on social media.
Furthermore, before their divorce, Grande and Gomez had been having problems. They reportedly started having issues before January and decided to separate. “They want to remain best friends,” a source said. “They’ve been really good friends throughout the entire process, and their friends and families have been trying to protect them.”
After they separated, Grande started dating actor Ethan Slater in July 2023, and they appear to be going strong. Similarly, Gomez has also moved on.
