Recently, in Vallejo, a San Francisco suburb, a thief on parole swiped $900 worth of Lego sets from a store on Admiral Callaghan Lane. The store staff reported the burglary, prompting the police to respond Immediately.
Following the incident, the suspect led officers on a car chase. Initially, the staff had given the authorities a description of the suspect. They also noted a Hyundai Sonata with a reported stolen license plate and spotted the stolen vehicle.
Attempting to stop the driver, a police patrol unit started an 11-mile chase. During the pursuit, a male passenger jumped out of the Sonata while moving at 50 mph. The pursuit continued until the driver lost control, crashing the stolen vehicle into a retaining wall.
The police arrested the unidentified suspect and then took him to a hospital. Notably, the suspect has two outstanding arrest warrants for grand theft and a traffic-related offense. Concurrently, law enforcement searched the passenger who jumped out of the stolen car.

A vigilant resident tipped off authorities, leading them to discover the individual hiding in a backyard trashcan. Upon entering and searching the home’s rear, officers found the passenger. Following this, the arrested thief reportedly confessed to stealing and selling LEGO sets. A records check revealed that the arrested person was on parole for possessing a stolen vehicle.
Similarly, a video captures a woman and her dog narrowly avoiding a suspect who recklessly drove down a Northeast DC sidewalk. This was in an allegedly stolen car while attempting to flee from the police, as stated by Fox 5.
Evelina Voronina shared with Fox 5 that she was doing yard work on Saturday, February 10, when the chaotic scene happened. She had just released her 3-year-old dog Luna when the commotion started. According to a police report, the incident originated from a report of a stolen blue Hyundai Tucson around 10 a.m.
Shortly before 4 p.m., officers searching the neighborhood identified the stolen car and attempted to pull it over. However, the driver ran away. In the video, Voronina immediately turns around, grabs her dog, and rushes up the front steps of the porch.

Within seconds, the reported stolen car races down the sidewalk with a police car in pursuit. Voronina expressed that the whole experience was frightening, but she is grateful she and her dog didn’t sustain injuries.
Reflecting on what happened, she said, “Being angry or mad is not going to really do anything for the person. I am sure they fell sh–y about what happened, too.” According to a police report, they found the stolen Hyundai after a prolonged pursuit.
Although one suspect was apprehended, the police officers still believe that two others managed to escape. Several theft incidents, including a nonprofit’s warehouse, were targeted earlier this year. One such case is when suspects managed to steal over $45,000 worth of Lego toys stored in the warehouse.
The incident reportedly happened at 1509 Hendricks Avenue. It involved the theft of approximately five pallets of Lego sets owned by V for Victory.
