Kelly Clarkson brought a dashing date with her to the 2024 Grammy Awards!
The singer and talk show host, 41, rocked the 2024 Grammys red carpet with her son Remington “Remy” Alexander, 7, on February 4, 2024. The mother-son duo complemented each other in high style at the annual Grammy Awards in downtown Los Angeles.
Clarkson appeared in an off-the-shoulder white gown with tuxedo-inspired lapels. On the other hand, Remy wore a red velvet tux with a ruffled shirt and colorful boutonniere. The adorable celebrity kid finished the look with killer spiked work boots.
Clarkson’s “Chemistry” earned a nomination at the Grammys for Best Pop Vocal Album. The album, released in June 2023, followed her public split from Blackstock. According to the talented singer, the album tracks the story of their relationship, the bad and the good.
She revealed in a June 2023 interview that she’d had a text exchange with Blackstock ahead of time about it. “I don’t even remember why or how it happened,” she said. “But I was like, ‘Hey, I didn’t just diminish us down to one (thing).'” She added, “You know what I’m saying? It’s all in there, the ride. The beauty is there, as well.”

“Now, there’s a lot of pain, but that’s what happens for all of us.” This nomination is not Kelly Clarkson’s first nomination in her years since winning “American Idol.” Her first single, “Miss Independent,” from her first album, was her first Grammy nomination.
However, she first won a Grammy for her sophomore album, “Breakaway,” for Best Pop Album. Also, she won a Grammy for Best Female Pop Vocal Performance for her hit single “Since U Been Gone.” Afterward, she won her third Grammy for her 2011 album, “Stronger.”
Her nomination at the 2024 Grammys for “Chemistry” is her 16th total nomination. However, Taylor Swift won the award for her album “Midnights.” Regardless, Kelly Clarkson ensured she had a swell time with her little date.
Remy also had a fun moment in front of the cameras on Sunday night. However, his famous mom has a steadfast rule: no social media. “That can be really hard on kids in general but especially kids with parents in the public eye,” Clarkson said in a December 2023 interview.

“So I have informed them they can’t, under my roof, ever have it!.” The singer shares Remy and a daughter, River Rose, 9, with her ex-husband, Brandon Blackstock. The former couple split in 2020 and finalized their divorce in 2022.
Hence, Kelly Clarkson noted that reaching a consensus on such issues as co-parents can be challenging. “It’s hard enough when you’re married and come from two different backgrounds and ways to discipline and educate,” she said. “Doing that in different households can be tough.”
For now, Kelly Clarkson strongly feels she’s making the right decision. “My daughter was like, ‘Well, what if Dad lets me?’ I’m like, ‘Well, you’re there four days a month,” Clarkson said. “Enjoy that! And right now, he’s not letting them do it either.”
She added, “I’ll listen when they’re older, but until they have a solid argument, it’s a no.”
