Prince Harry, 39, has been bogged down in several legal issues recently, with security as his priority. After losing his Metropolitan Police bodyguards in 2020, he has been an active advocate for the reinstatement of police protection for his family.

Regarding this security issue, a friend of Harry’s revealed that he and his father’s communication has gone from frustration to complete silence. This friend mentioned that King Charles doesn’t respond to Harry’s calls or letters, leaving him with messages of being “unavailable right now.”
Harry’s attempts to inquire about the King’s health have also reportedly gone unanswered. The argument over securing protection for Harry and his family is pretty complex. Constitutionally, the monarch has no government power in the U.K.
Moreover, the authority to grant police protection resides with the Executive Committee for the Protection of Royalty and Public Figures (RAVEC). Despite Harry’s offer to personally fund the police protection, the court rejected his proposal.

More recently, Prince Harry disclosed his fears about bringing Meghan Markle back to the U.K. due to safety concerns. In an interview for ITV’s documentary “Tabloids on Trial,” Harry discussed these dangers.
