The former Los Angeles Lakers star has finally spoken about the sex doll drama. He did so when he came as a guest on the We’re Out of Time podcast on November 19, 2024. There, Odom disclosed that even though his marriage with Khloe Kardashian has since come to an end, he still thinks about her.
Commenting on the backlash that greeted his actions, Odom stated that it was well-deserved. He also conceded that his actions weren’t normal. “It’s sick, but I think we’re all a little off, a little weird,” he added. “They’re gonna make it to look like her. I need like, a harem.”
The Lamar Odom Khloe Kardashian Doll Drama
Lamar Odom’s sex doll made the news in October 2024 after he ordered a life-size sex doll. What was more interesting was that he specified that the doll looked like his ex-wife, Khloe Kardashian. However, the most provocative aspect was his tour of the manufacturer’s facility and products.
According to news sources, Odom paid about $8000 to RealDoll, a notable sex doll manufacturer, for the sex doll. During his birthday celebration, he showed up at the company’s facility in Nevada, where he inspected their other products, fondling the breasts and butts while making nasty comments.
In early November, TMZ caught up with Lamar Odom’s manager, Gina Rodriguez. During the meeting, she confirmed the news that Odom had paid for the doll. She also confirmed that he had requested that the doll have “voluptuous curves” plus facial features that looked as similar to Khloe Kardashian as possible.

In addition, his manager said he paid for the doll so he could do anything he liked with it. The video of the tour and his manager’s statement drew criticism from social media, with some comments suggesting that the retired NBA star had gone back to drug use.
A user wrote under an X post of the video, “I long for the old days where if you reverted to having sex with a doll, out of sheer embarrassment, you keep that to yourself…” Although Odom hadn’t taken delivery of the sex doll at the time, the manufacturers assured him that he would receive it before the holidays.

Interestingly, drugs and infidelity were the primary reasons Lamar Odom and Khloe Kardashian crashed in 2016. The pair tied the knot back in 2009 and were happy for a while. Not being able to cope with Odom’s excessive drug use and cheating, Khloe Kardashian filed for a divorce in 2013.
In the thick of the divorce, Lamar Odom nearly lost his life and was rushed to the hospital in October 2015. He was found unconscious in a Nevada brothel after overdosing on drugs. In order to take care of him and make decisions on his behalf, Khloe Kardashian, 40, had to withdraw her divorce application.
She stood by his side during this troubling period until he got better. Thereafter, she resumed the divorce process until it was finalized in 2016. Speaking on the current state of his relationship with his ex-wife, Odom revealed that they aren’t talking much.
But he is certain that she still cares about him to respond to his texts whenever he does. “I don’t speak to her. I can text her and she’ll reply,” he assured. He also stated that “life’ is the reason for their distance.
Why Does Lamar Odom Have a Doll Resembling Khloé Kardashian?
During his appearance on the We’re Out of Time podcast on November 19, Lamar Odom gave reasons for his purchase of the sex doll. He stated that it was going to help with his mental health. “When you’re really thinking about it, [it’s] like a doll,” he began. He then described how much of an impact the product would have on his health.
“But then you think about like, mental health, and how important that is, not just in today’s time, but just from the beginning of time. A sex doll that looks like your wife is about mental health,” he continued.
Shocked by the disclosure, and not sure he heard right, podcast host Richard Taite then asked, “A sex doll that looks like your wife is about mental health?” Odom replied, “For me, it would be.”

Is Lamar Odom Currently Dating a Trans Woman?
In April 2024, during an interview on a podcast, Lamar Odom responded to a question about trans people. The hosts of the sports podcast Keeping Up With Sports, Caitlyn Jenner (his former mother-in-law) and Zach Hirsch, asked him if he could date a trans woman.
In response, he jokingly stood to leave the studio. “Trans women a chance – as far as a chance as..?” he asked. “Nah, nah, nah, this guy is crazy,” he said with a laugh.
