After taking shots at Meghan Markle during an interview with the Times, Kate Middleton’s uncle Gary Goldsmith apologized on X. He’s asking fans to shower Middleton, William, and the kids with love.
Gary Goldsmith is shocked by the article’s timing, and he’s expressing his apologies through a recent post on X. His interview with the Times was recorded weeks before it was released, and it came out after the Princess of Wales shared her cancer diagnosis on Instagram. Hence, Goldsmith thinks the timing couldn’t be more off.
Kate Middleton’s uncle Nicknamed Meghan Markle “Laughing Girl”
According to The Times, Gary Goldsmith called Meghan Markle a “Laughing Girl.” In the interview, he said, “Let’s face it, Laughing Girl isn’t going to be around forever, is she? I think she’s fickle. And I think she’s so bad for Harry and our country.”
It appears that Kate Middleton’s uncle is holding onto some negative feelings. His interview comes after the Duchess accused a couple of Royals of making racist comments about Archie’s skin color. Hence, Goldsmith believes that she was explicitly targeting Middleton with those accusations.

Goldsmith Narrates How He Detest the Idea of Meghan Markle Saying Middleton Is Racist
Goldsmith is super angry at the thought of the Duchess calling Middleton racist. He’s standing up for her, saying she knows and is proud of her family history. Hence, Gary Goldsmith says the Duchess is not a good person.
He said, “The idea that Laughing Girl says Kate is racist makes me furious. Kate knows her family’s roots and is proud of them. I’m sorry, but Laughing Girl is not good people.”
Goldsmith claims it wasn’t always this way: “William, Harry, and Kate were such a happy little trio, and it got ruined. With all that going on, and there is other stuff going on that is not in the public domain, are they at their absolute happiest? No. Their kids bring them a lot of joy, but no.”
Gary Goldsmith Apologizes On X
Now that things seem dire at the Royal House, Kate Middleton’s uncle apologized in a post on X. “This interview and shoot were done over a week ago,” he said. “And went to print before I was aware of the sad news regarding my niece Kate.”
He added, “My thoughts and prayers are with Kate and the wider family at this difficult time and deeply upset at the timing of this article.”
“I hope this draws a line over the continued speculation and horrible conspiracies. Let’s give Kate, William & the children time and show some love back,” he concluded.
Reactions To Goldsmith Post on X from Social Media Users
Social media users hit back at Kate Middleton’s uncle over his allegation and subsequent apology. “Stop talking about them. Just stop. Stop using them to try and make yourself relevant,” a user replied.” “You aren’t in the know. This is why you aren’t in the know. You keep running your mouth.”
Another responded, “Should have kept your mouth shut—no loyalty, shame on you.” A third user questioned why he would only apologize to his niece and not Meghan Markle, whom he slandered on the media.
“You apologize to your niece but not the woman you slandered via media?” the user said. “You guys are stripping Meghan of her humanity and not extending grace to her, just deplorable, the lot of you.” The user added, “Looking down on her because of her ancestry, but try to disguise it as something else.”
Another user accused Goldsmith of inciting hatred against Meghan Markle. “You’re inciting hatred against Meghan, talking crap about Harry and Meghan when you don’t even know them,” the user wrote. “Focus on your niece’s health and keep Meghan’s name out of your filthy mouth!”
