Brittany Mahomes, the wife of Kansas City quarterback Patrick Mahomes, grabs attention in the lead-up to the Super Bowl. Interestingly, Brittany was announced as a rookie for the 2024 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit edition. She will feature in the magazine’s highly anticipated 60th-anniversary edition, hitting stands in May.
Expressing her shock, Brittany stated, “I never in my wildest dreams thought this would happen,” as she posed for the feature. She continued, “I am so thankful and honored and so excited to be here with this team.”
Notably, Brittany Mahomes is a former soccer player at the University of Texas at Tyler and co-owner of the NWSL team, the Kansas City Current. In her statement to the publication, she emphasized her belief that the campaign symbolizes the essence of self-confidence and self-love.
She continued, “I want women to feel empowered always to be yourself, love yourself, and feel confident in whatever you do. And I think SI Swimsuit does, too.” She further advocated for authenticity, saying, “Be confident in who you are and be unapologetically yourself.”

“People are going to love you and hate you, but finding values and what makes you ‘you’ to be the best version of yourself is what really matters,” she added. “Whether that’s health and wellness, being a great wife or mom or career goals, being the best version of you is the most important thing you can be.”
Being no stranger to the spotlight and the accompanying scrutiny, Brittany faced recent social media backlash. This was over her interactions with staff at the AFC championship game. However, she quickly addressed the rumors confidently. Sharing a post from the Girls Building Empires account on her Instagram story, she said, “I take rumors as a compliment.”
She continued, “The fact that you are bringing my name onto tables I don’t sit at shows your obsession. Stay bothered.” While Brittany Mahomes makes waves in the modeling world, her husband Patrick’s team defeated the San Francisco 49ers in Las Vegas on Sunday, February 11, 2024.
Patrick Mahomes, joined by teammate Travis Kelce, succeeded on the field, winning the LVIII Super Bowl. Interestingly, Kelce recently gained popularity for his romance with Taylor Swift, a union that enjoys support from the Mahomes couple.

In May 2017, Brittany signed a deal with the Icelandic club UMF Afturelding, competing in Iceland’s third tier 2. Her former teammate Strother, from Whitehouse High and Texas-Tyler, committed to another team in the league then.
During her season with UMF Afturrelding, Brittany made an impact, netting two goals in five appearances. However, after the season ended, the club chose not to extend a new contract to her. In 2017, she transitioned from soccer, returning to Kansas City to become a Certified Fitness Trainer.
In 2022, Brittany Mahomes married the NFL quarterback Patrick, her high school sweetheart. Their relationship led to marriage, and the couple has two children—a daughter and a son. Notably, Patrick is now a minority-stake owner of the Kansas City, an NWSL team co-owned by Brittany.
