Blanco County authorities are currently investigating the demise of Angela Chao, the CEO of Foremost Group, a shipping company. This investigation started from a distress call on Sunday, February 11, 2024, for a water rescue operation at a private ranch.
According to the sheriff’s office in a recent statement, despite emergency measures undertaken by EMS, Chao ultimately succumbed to the water. There is a belief that she possibly drowned after her car entered a body of water, according to an anonymous law enforcement official.
However, the official, who spoke anonymously due to the undisclosed investigation details, noted that the exact cause of death is unknown. Although the statement does not explicitly mention a car accident, it asserts that the preliminary investigation indicates an unfortunate accident. Notably, the inquiry is still in progress.
Moreover, the statement refrains from disclosing the property address where the incident happened. Under the Texas Public Information Act, The Statesman formally requested this information. However, a reporter seeking an interview at the Blanco County Sheriff’s Office was turned away.
